Hollywood actor John Travolta is likely to star in director Shekhar Kapoor’s highly anticipated film Paani.

“I have been offered a film that I am considering doing... I believe it is an honest Bollywood film and it is called Paani, by Shekhar Kapoor. He has asked me to be a part of it,” Travolta said, on the sidelines of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards here.

“I have known Shekhar for a while now. Even though the script does not have it Shekhar said he will put a song to make it truly Bollywood. I am open to working in Hindi films if I like the story and my part,” he added.

Travolta has watched a number of Hindi films such as 3 Idiots, Lagaan, Krissh and Ram Leela. He also said he loved actor Priyanka Chopra’s debut music album Exotic.

“I recently saw the Romeo and Juliet film, Ram-Leela. In that, the first musical number was wow. I love the actress in Ram-Leela (Deepika Padukone). She is amazing,” Travolta said.

He will be honoured with the ‘Most Popular International Star of All Time’ award.

“I think awards like IIFA have a lot of credibility. I am happy to be a part of the grand celebration this year,” he said.
