Hailing from a small city is never a constraint when the intent to succeed is strong and you work hard towards it, feels Vizag girl Ipsita Pati, a model-turned-actor.

Gearing up for her first Bollywood release Chor Bazarri , Pati says it was her dream to step into the film world and make it big there.

Directed by Rajiv S. Ruia of My Friend Ganesha fame, Chor Bazarri is set to hit the theatres in September this year.

Pati, who set the ramp ablaze at fashion shows for some of the biggest designers in the country, has also signed another Hindi film and a Telugu film. “The shooting for my second Hindi film has just started, while the Telugu film shoot will begin by the end of the year,” says the actor excitedly, reluctant to divulge further details. “I am really looking forward to this,” she adds.

She was here in the city to launch her official website link and logo. When asked how she prepares herself to face the fiercely competitive world of fashion and films, the actor says: “I am passionate about my work. I dance three hours a day and that is how I keep the fitness quotient high. There is no room for lethargy in the film industry. You have to be spirited all the time to be in the race.”

Ipsita’s journey in the glamour world began after she won the Miss South India contest in 2008. She went on to represent India at various beauty contests across the globe. Ipsita was recently awarded the Youth Icon award by the Odisha state government.

Her next goal is to work towards her own album. “I want to sing for my films too,” says the budding actor.
