Ramcharan Tej, son of Telugu film star and Congress MP K. Chiranjeevi tied the knot with Upasna Kamineni, grand-daughter of Pratap C. Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Group of Hospitals at a glittering ceremony here on Thursday morning.
As guests walked into Temple Trees, the venue, the sheer grandeur reminded them of an opera, complete with small balconies and thousands of pearls strung all the way.
That was the backdrop of the wedding at Temple Trees, a farmhouse near here, attended by scores of high-profile guests from across the country and abroad.
The reception committee comprised Mr. Chiranjeevi's brothers Pawan Kalyan and Nagendra Babu, brother-in-law Allu Arvind and his son Arjun on behalf of the groom, while on the bride's side, it was Dr. Pratap Reddy himself.
They outdid themselves playing a modest role and maintaining a low-profile as they welcomed hundreds of guests, VIPs them all.
Upasna, was decked up in a Tarun Tahiliani outfit of yellow and gold silk sari with a Swarovski-encrusted border and embellished with ‘zardosi' French knots and a smattering of tiny semi-precious stones.
The look was rounded off with a pink ‘zardosi' corset (blouse) and a veil.
Ramcharan Tej, the groom sported a sherwani by the same designer.
Superstars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, a dazzling Sridevi with husband Boney Kapoor, Manchu Mohan Babu, Venkatesh, Suhasini Maniratnam, Ambareesh, blessed the newly weds.
