What it is about…

Dream Theatres’ JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai is written, produced and directed by Cheran and has Sharwanand and Nithya Menen in the lead. Santhanam, Jayaprakash, Prakash Raj, Sneha, Prasanna and Kitty play the other important roles. The camera has been handled by Siddarth. The music has been scored by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Rama Rao is the editor; and Gayathri Raguram and Robert are the choreographers. The audio of the film was released by director Shankar and received by actor Suriya. The film is about an individual’s perspective on life.

Music highlights

There are six numbers in the album and the best one is ‘Nee Enna Pesuvaai”, written by Na. Muthukumar and sung by the music director G. V. and Saindavi. G.V. joins Neha for another good song ‘Facebook Login Pannu’ written by Madan Karky. The same lyricist’s ‘Get Ready for My Mojo,’ sung by Vijay Prakash and Ramya, is pleasant. Benny Dayal and Ramya have lent their voices to the meaningful ‘Uyire Uyire’ written by Yugabharathi. Director Cheran has written the last number ‘Who is JK.’ Sung by the music director, it’s appealing.

What they say…

Producer-director Cheran: After Maya Kannadi and Pokkisham, I wanted to do something different and came up with this script. JK is an individual who faces problems in life like any other person. Sharwanand is a good actor and he has been paired with Nithya Menen in the movie; both have done a fine job. I have launched my audio company, Dream Sounds. We also plan to help small producers by releasing their audio.

Hero Sharwanand: I have acted in 15 films in Telugu and two in Tamil — Kadhalna Summa Illai and Engeyum Eppodum . This is my third in Tamil and I am happy to be part of this film helmed by Cheran. I have learnt a lot from shooting for this film as Cheran is a talented director.

Music director G.V. Prakash Kumar: When director Cheran approached me with this script, I was very happy to take it up. We were able to finish the songs in no time. He has also provided enough space for me to work on the re-recording and the songs have come out well.
