For Mother Earth

Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi, a bilingual film (in Tamil and Malayalam), written and directed by National Award-winning director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, is slated for release during the second week of October. Tamil actor Bharath plays a crucial role in the film along with Kunchacko Boban and Reenu Mathews. The story is about a journey that eight people (from different walks of life) take up together. They leave behind their busy lives, for a greater cause. “The film has been shot at 6700 feet above sea level in the forests of Kerala. The VFX effects have been done by Varun and Dileep of Cirqus, who were part of the team that worked on Life of Pi. It is a movie for the environment, for nature and for people from all walks of life. It The film has a message which you and I will believe in, “ says Anil. Radhakrishnan Menon.

Catch him if you can

For his next film Mudinja Ivana Pudi, K.S. Ravikumar has roped in Kichcha Sudeepa, who was earlier seen in Naan Ee and recently inPuli. “Ravikumar has etched a fabulous role for me in this film, wherein I portray two characters. The film's premise goes beyond ideas of good or bad in a person. It only matters whether you get caught or you not. Ravikumar has taken a long time to develop this script, and it will not be prudent to reveal more,” says Sudeepa. He will be paired with Nithya Menon. Mudinja Ivana Pudi is expected to be an action film.

12 hours of life

Director Maanji is attempting black humour in his debut Aata Kumaru. “The film is set in the slums of Chennai, and the story takes place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. We plan to shoot extensively in Pondicherry and in Coimbatore, at a location which is similar to that of Chennai. The dialogue is replete with Chennai slang. We have signed up new faces — Vijay Priyan, Rakshath Kumar and Kayal Dillija. Theni Murugan plays an important role. We plan to complete the shoot in 30 days,” says Maanji.
