There are five songs in the album. The first number, ‘Kothamalli' sung by Balamurugan and Krithika, is above average. The same male singer has sung ‘Pottu Vacha' in an interesting way. Vels has sung ‘Unna Unna Parkaiyile', which has good lyrics. ‘Vittu Vilagi Vantha' is sung by Sunandhan. Balu's diction is good in the solo number, ‘Onnum Manna,' is good. What they say…

Producer D. K. Kumaran: I decided to produce the film mainly because of its screenplay which has a message woven into it in an interesting way. After seeing the film, I am convinced what the director told me has been translated on to celluloid. Music director, lyricist and director D. S. Divakar: Though I have not worked under any director, I've seen a lot of Tamil movies and learnt the nuances of filmmaking. I have talented new faces in the film. We shot in the villages of Dharmapuri such as Kavundanoor, Palakkodu and Karimangalam. After seeing the shooting for days together, the village youngsters told us that they would like to help those who consume ganja turn over a new leaf.

Hero Linga: I'm basically a dancer, familiar with various genres such as pop, salsa and jazz. I've performed in several stage shows. Director Divakar who is also a dancer wanted me to play the lead when he decided to make a movie. There are three other youths doing important roles like me in the film which offers scope for acting.
