Hard hitting

Suniel Shetty, whose next film “Red Alert The War Within”, directed by Anant Mahadevan, releases next month, is about to reveal a totally new dimension to his personality, if reports from the South Asian International Film Festival are to be believed. Suniel won the Best Actor award at the fest and his character is inspired by Dith Pran, the Cambodian photojournalist essayed by actor Haing Ngor in the Academy Award-winning film “The Killing Fields”. “Red Alert” is based on the looming terror of Naxalism and Shetty plays a hapless farmer who takes to the gun.

Fighting fit

The petite Masumeh, who has had some films to her credit (“Maqbool”, “Chupke Se”), is currently immersed in Capoeira, the Brazilian martial art form. Apparently the girl practises it non-stop for two hours everyday and the moves are such they would knock down even a good fighter. Great body assured, but wonder if the pent-up anger that's manifesting itself in this violent dance form is due to lack of work?

Serious advice

Aamir Khan might just heed a veteran's advice and start tweeting. Aamir met Amitabh Bachchan in London last week and the senior actor showed him how to tweet and encouraged him to join Twitter! Aamir confessed to being gizmo-phobic but the latter refused to give up it seems. Now will Aamir do as he has been told? Let's wait and watch.
