Anupam Kher in zokkomon

Anupam Kher in zokkomon

Welcome on board

Have you heard of Samar Singh? This actor makes his debut as the antagonist in Disney's “Zokkomon”, we are told. But, if you look closely at the picture, you will recognise it is Anupam Kher. The actor, who prides himself on beginning afresh with every role, got such a makeover for his double role in the film that even his wife Kirron couldn't recognise him. He even renamed himself Samar so that his new look could be kept a secret till the film's release. Some dedication this!

The big break

Rahul Bhat (not to be confused with Mahesh Bhatt's son of the same name) is a television artist and producer who has got his big break in Anurag Kashyap's next. The director is reportedly working on his next film, a thriller, and has chosen Rahul over several known names. Apparently, Anurag and Rahul were neighbours when they were both struggling to get a foothold in Bollywood.

Trouble at home?

Boney Kapoor seems to have a tough time on the home front. First, he had announced that wife number two Sridevi will be relaunched in a big way under his own banner. That didn't happen. She's making a comeback under director-turned-producer R Balki's banner, with his wife directing the film. Later, he had claimed he will produce a mega film to launch his son from his first wife Mona, Arjun Kapoor. Looks like that dream too will be wasted as YashRaj Films has already picked up the lad for their film “Virus Diwan”. The film comes with the tagline: Enter. Infect. Escape, and is being produced by the youth film arm of YashRaj, Y-Films.
