Oscar-winning Indian music composer A.R. Rahman has been nominated for the British Academy of Films and Television Arts (BAFTA) award for original music in Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours . This is the second time he is nominated for the BAFTA.
The composer, who lost out on the Golden Globe award for the film this year to The Social Network , has been nominated alongside Danny Elfman ( Alice In Wonderland ), John Powell ( How To Train Your Dragon ), Hans Zimmer ( Inception ) and Alexandre Desplat ( The King’s Speech ).
Last year, Rahman was in competition for his Oscar-winning music in Slumdog Millionaire , and he won the prestigious award.
