Murali award presentedto KPAC Lalitha

The first death anniversary of actor Murali was observed at his native place Kudavattur, near here, on Thursday. The function in this connection was organised by the Bharat Murali Cultural Centre.

On the occasion, the first Bharat Murali Award of the centre was presented to actor KPAC Lalitha. The award carries a cash prize of Rs.10,001, a trophy and a citation.

A book by K. Bhaskaran on Murali's first film ‘Njaattadi' was released at the function by director Sarath by presenting a copy to actor Lakshmi Priya.

Earlier, while inaugurating the function, film director Siby Malayil said Murali's death remained a major loss for the film world. Chairman of the cultural centre Pallisseri presided over the function and secretary Odavattam Vijayaprakash welcomed the gathering.
