End of rocky reputation
Rocky rival Dolph Lundgren is hoping his upcoming reunion with Sylvester Stallone will shoot down the stigma attached to action heroes of the Eighties. The 52-year-old Swedish actor, famous for his role as Russian boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV , teams up with Sly, Jackie Chan, Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke and modern-day action man Jason Statham for The Expendables . And Dolph is sure the big-screen exposure will be good for him and his aging movie heroes. “Action guys have that stigma where people think you are who you play,” says Lundgren, who now mixes directing with acting. “Just because you had muscles and killed people with machine guns for 20 years, people think that's you. It's not like that of course and I think this movie shows a little of that. We have brains as well as brawn.”
Gaga to poke your face
Lady Gaga's Poker Face is set to get a lot more pokey — in a 3-D movie. The eccentric singer is in talks to put her stunning live show on the big screen using the same 3-D technology that's been used in James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar . “The plan is to capture one of Gaga's European gigs later this year,” reveals a source close to the singer. “This would be the first movie of its kind. Gaga is very excited about it.”
Lean days for Ricky?
Ricky Gervais fears his days in Hollywood are numbered because he's not fat enough! The Brit funnyman and The Invention of Lying star has recently lost more than a stone in weight through a rigorous daily exercise regimen. But the Office creator may find himself one of the few stars in tinsel town shunned for slimming. “I might have to get myself a fat suit,” says Ricky. “I can't play the little, funny, fat guy anymore otherwise. I'm still eating the same as always, if not more, but the exercise is really making a difference. I run and I even have my own gym in my house now — AND I actually use it!”
Sienna set for new Holmes with Jude?
Sienna Miller is the latest big star being linked to Sherlock Holmes and his second big-screen adventure. But it is the sexy star's real-life love affair with Dr. Watson actor Jude Law that could prove crucial in Sienna's blockbuster chances. “Sienna is among the top names in a list of potential female leads,” reveals a movie insider. “Guy (director Guy Ritchie) knows her and loves her work but clearly her relationship with Jude will either be a big problem or a big audience attraction — depending on which way you look at it. Filming on Sherlock Holmes 2 is set to start later this year.”
Kim burns her bridges
Sexy socialite Kim Kardashian has slammed rumours that she has ever dated English football ace Wayne Bridge. The reality TV star and model has been linked to the England and Manchester City star since the pair were spotted in LA together. And while Kim has admitted to meeting Wayne, she says she's still very much single and loving it. “Every time you are just in the same place as someone you are supposed to be dating them,” says Kim of the recent rumours. “The thing is that I'm such a relationship kind of girl but I'm having a good time being single right now. I can't even remember the last time I was single. To be honest I'm working so much I'm not even thinking about it.” Kim recently split from American football star Reggie Bush.
