Nageswara Reddy known for his low-budget commercial successes was shooting the climax portions of Seema Tapakay , a few weeks ago in the temple precincts opposite the Raidurgam police station. A huge posse of actors, lead pair Naresh, Poorna and Jayaparaksh Reddy, Sayaji Shinde, Brahmanandam, L.B. Sriram, M.S. Narayana, ‘Vennela' Kishore, Rao Ramesh, Surekhavani, Geetha Singh and Sudha along with the other starcast were shooting for the part.
Poorna hails from Kerala and has made a mark in Tamil cinema. She is now trying her luck in Telugu films. She dons the role of a poor man's (Rao Ramesh) daughter who falls in love with Naresh not knowing that he is the son of a rich man (Sayaji Shinde) as she hates rich people. “That sets the story move forward to a hilarious climax. Our hero has this habit of doing whatever comes to his mind creating problems to his family members. These scenes and the ones shot on Brahmanandam are a treat to watch,” promises Nageswara Reddy. The songs were shot at Ramoji Film City and in special sets there, apart from Golconda Fort and in Vizag.
“For the first time, I went for expensive sets and costumes for song sequences. You will find in a variety of costumes the lead pair gyrating to the duets in gorgeous set. To my knowledge this is also such a first for Naresh.”
The title Seema Tapakay , he said sprang from the hero's highly energetic character in the story and it is just a coincidence that his last film with Naresh was titled Seemasastry and was set againt the Rayalaseema backdrop and in his current film, the heroine's family hails from Rayalaseema. Producer Malla Vijaya Prasad has plans to release the music on April 18 and the film on May 6.
