From Dothraki stunts to Lannister wrath to... oh yes, dragons. Valar Moghulis!

The showrunners of Game of Thrones have offered us a sneak-peak into its highly-anticipated Season 7 and as many have expected, the great war is finally here. The show is moving towards its end and it means that a lot of the story is moving faster than it used to be. It might be a bummer for book readers, but the producers seem to have decided to end the show due to increasing production costs and time, according to fortune.com. Season 8 will be the last in the series and now the trailer of Season 7 is here.

The seven kingdoms in Westeros are being threatened. The North is at war with the Others, the Martells and the Tyrells have joined hands, the Baratheons are non-existent, the Iron-Born faction has been split into two and the Lannisters are surrounded.

Cersei Lannister's army seems to have powered up with some new armour and being the Queen of Seven Kingdoms, she is gearing up with Jamie to defeat any attack that comes their way. “We are the last Lannisters, the last ones you count.” And then we see Tyrion Lannister near a cliff from where the three dragons fly up. Is he going to ride one of them along with Daenerys? We already know Tyrion can talk to two of those dragons. He made them give up their hunger strike while none of the soldiers could.

Game of Thrones Season 7

Daenerys takes the throne at Dragonstone - about time, Mother of Dragons - and gives us no doubt as to her intentions. “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms and I will.” With some pensive music, the shot focuses on Daenerys Stormborn’s entry to her ‘home’.

Meanwhile Ser Davos is all set to reunite forces. “If we don't put aside our enmities and band together, we will die. And then it doesn't matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne,” and the shot moves to show Daenerys and Tyrion plan the battle on a detailed map, just like how Aegon the Conqueror planned for the invasion of Westeros.

While there are cool new outfits for every character, we wonder how much do each of these forces owe the Iron Bank of Braavos. Even the Mountain is wearing new armour.

We see the Dothraki army steering their clan towards the Iron Throne under Dany. Jon Snow, the King in the North, is all set to bring his Stark army down South as well. New alliances are made. We see Yara Greyjoy and Ellaria Sand together, hopefully it won't be another trick by the late Red Viper's mistress.

This season sees most of the houses’ last offsprings coming to power. The last of Lannisters, Cersei and Jamie, the last of Targaryens, Daenerys, the last of Starks, Sansa and Jon, the last of Sand Snakes, Ellaria and the last of Greyjoys, Yara and Theon.

The trailer itself is filled with a ton of spoilers if you know where to look. We see the Unsullied attack the Lannnister army, Petyr Baelish trying to reveal a certain truth to Sansa Stark. But the best of all, we see Jon Snow attack Baelish.

Maybe Jon finally learns the truth about his parentage? More importantly, will Sansa join hands with her brother or would she take over as the Queen in the North and leave Jon Snow in the wind? Arya Stark is also moving North, as we see her travelling in heavy winter gear. There are shots of Jon running away, from what we can assume to be white walkers. Also, why pull up gates in the wall if you don't want to let the undead coming for you?

Some queries remain unanswered. But all men must die and we’ve seen a lot of crucial deaths on the show. And now we have only Queens left, except for Jon. There is Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark, Olenna Tyrell, Ellaria Sand, Yara Greyjoy, and well, Arya Stark.

The trailer of Game of Thrones was posted on Wednesday night but it has already received over 10 million views. Season 7 premieres on HBO on July 16, 2017.
