The Green Book , which won the Academy Award for Best Picture on Tuesdsay, is a biography of classical and jazz pianist Don Shirley with elements of drama and comedy.

Movies with elements of drama have been evergreen favourites for ‘Best Picture’ among juries of the Academy Awards.

Data analysis also shows that of movies which won five or more awards under various categories, only four movies  have won all the awards for which they were nominated.

The visualisation below shows ‘Best Picture’ Oscars given to movies of each genre (the greater the size of the Oscar, the more the number of movies that had elements of that genre). Movies may have more than one genre, in which case they are considered as a win under all those genres.
