Uttama Villain release further delayed

Kamal Haasan starrer 'Uttama Villain' is in the eye of the storm yet again. The early morning, noon and afternoon shows of Kamal Haasan-starrer “Uttama Villain” on Friday were cancelled across Tamil Nadu. A few fans were even given tickets to another movie.

Theatre officials were unable to give an answer to the sudden cancellation of the shows of the movie that has generated a fair amount of controversy over the last few months. Those who booked tickets for the movie are yet to receive confirmation as to the time of release of the movie.

IANS adds

According to sources, the shows were cancelled owing to some financial problems between the film's makers and financiers. The issue, according to sources, was expected to be settled before the 3 p.m. show. However, the issue remained unresolved even in the afternoon, leading to a cancellation of the 3 p.m. show as well. The shows have also been cancelled in Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana as well.
