Looks like Sonakshi Sinha held her own against Twitter trolls on Tuesday after many targeted her for her father Shatrugan Sinha’s comments against his own party, the BJP.

The ‘Dabang’ actor went on a blocking spree as Twitterati blamed her for Shatrugan Sinha’s comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cancellation of rallies in Bihar ahead of the Assembly polls. The BJP leader has been making veiled comments about the party leadership over the last few weeks. The actor-turned politician also tweeted about rising dal prices.

‘Shotgun Junior’ (as she calls herself in Twitter) took the trolls head on and commented that she was having fun with the blocking spree. It was however not just ‘hate tweets’ as many fans and other celebrities came out to support the actor. #WeLoveSonakshiSinha was soon the talk of the town and Vir Singhvi, Rahul Kanwal among others showed their protest over the blame game. Fans expressed their solidarity with the actor and flayed trolls who targeted her just because she was Mr.Sinha’s daughter.

This is not the first time that star kids have been targeted for their parents’ limelight lives. Recently, Abishek Bachchan took on a troll over a meme connecting his daughter Aaradhya with his choice of movies to act. The Junior Bachchan vehemently shut down the troll saying that bringing his daughter into his career would not be tolerated.

In K-town, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar was targeted by many over taking sides in the Nadigar Sangam elections which saw a battle between her dad Sarathkumar and Vishal. The actor tweeted that her relationship with Vishal remains unchanged despite the professional rivalry between her father and Vishal.
