Thirty-eight years old and still single, Shah Rukh Khan's character in his upcoming Zero is in search of a bride. The catch? Bauaa Singh is only three-and-a-half feet tall.

The trailer for the Aanand L. Rai film, which was released on Friday on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, showcases the veteran actor fully embracing his 'King of Romance' mode. He serenades his heroine(s), has slo-mo running sequences, and sells his trademark charm, all in a pint-sized package backed by some clever CGI.

Starring along with SRK is Anushka Sharma as Aafia Yousufzai Bhander, who uses a wheelchair due to a neurological disease; and Katrina Kaif, who is reportedly playing a 'satirised' version of an actress.

The trailer gives us glimpses of how Bauaa's life is turned upside down after meeting these two women. It takes us from small-town Meerut to Delhi to some pretty foreign locales, including one that looks like New York's Times Square.

Zero also stars Abhay Deol, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and has cameo appearances by the who's who of Hindi cinema, including the late Sridevi. Zero is reportedly her last appearance.

The film is scheduled for release on December 21. Watch the trailer here:
