Veteran actor Sowcar Janaki returns to Tamil cinema after a brief hiatus with the forthcoming Thambi , starring Jyotika and Karthi in lead roles. Sowcar Janaki’s last Tamil movie was Vanavarayan Vallavarayan in 2014. The actor, known for her stellar performances in movies such as Ethir Neechal , Iru Kodugal and Uyarndha Manidhan , plays a key role in Thambi , the teaser for which was launched recently.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph of Drishyam/Papanasam fame, the film also stars Sathyaraj, Seetha and Nikhila Vimal in prominent roles. If reports are to be believed, Thambi is expected to release later this year.
