Last seen in Mersal , actor Vijay is gearing up for the release of the anticipated Sarkar . After keeping fans waiting with bated breath, the makers released the teaser on October 19. Going by the teaser, it looks like the film revolves around a corporate tycoon (played by Vijay), who returns to Chennai to cast his vote for the elections. The power-packed teaser shows Vijay leading a people’s revolution, with a thumping score by AR Rahman. Much to everyone’s expectations, the teaser went viral and has reportedly garnered more than nine million views on YouTube.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sarkar marks Vijay’s third collaboration with the director, after successful outings such as Thuppakki and Kaththi . Tipped to be a political-drama, the film stars Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi and Pala Karuppiah in key roles. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film is slated to release this Deepavali.
