Twitter reacts as Moonlight wins Best Picture…minutes after La La Land won it

Jordan Horowitz, producer of 'La La Land,' shows the envelope revealing 'Moonlight' as the true winner of best picture at the Oscars.

In what was an unbelievably bizarre piece of television and undeniably the most dramatic moment in Oscar history, La La Land won the award for Best Picture. But it didn’t.

It was, in fact, Moonlight which won the prized honour after it was revealed that presenters Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty read out the results from the wrong envelope.

The producers of La La Land were in the middle of their acceptance speech when they were stopped and informed that they were not the real winners.

As soon as news spread, Steve Harvey started trending online as quickly as even the Oscars hashtag, reminding us all of his infamous Miss Universe gaffe.

Twitter was flooded with hysterical reactions and memes as viewers finally came to terms with what actually happened. Many were sure that this was exactly how the US Presidential Elections 2016 was rigged.

In fact, they were sure that Beyonce should’ve won it for ‘Lemonade’ and not Adele.

But Manoj Night Shyamalan wins it for tonight. We are pretty sure this is how it happened.
