The trailer for Mani Ratnam’s much anticipated Chekka Chivantha Vaanam hit YouTube on Friday and has already racked up more than 200,000 views.

The multi-starrer’s storyline revolves around three brothers — Varadan (Arvind Swamy), Thyagu (Arun Vijay) and Ethi (Simbu) — sons of gangster/businessman Senapati (Prakash Raj). The trailer implies a power struggle between the three brothers to take their father’s title. Vijay Sethupathi appears as Rasool, a policeman who is friends with Varadan, but may actually be on the side of the law.

Jyothika plays Chitra, Varadan’s wife and Aditi Rao Hydari is Parvathi — a journalist who has an affair with Varadan.

Aishwarya Rajesh is Renu, Thyagu’s wife and Dayana Erappa plays Chaaya, the love interest for Ethi. The movie also sees Jayasudha in the role of the men’s mother.

The trailer promises a movie filled with intense action sequences, and a lot of guns.

The film, which has music by A.R. Rahman, cinematography by Santosh Sivan and lyrics by Vairamuthu, will have a worldwide release on September 28, 2018.
