Although, in the guise of a journalist, he closes in on Simon in the forest, the plan is foiled. The operation not only fails but also takes the life of Sudevan master, an environmentalist who lives by the riverside, immersed in music and interactions with children. Kishore is distraught about the incident.

Learning experience

“This is a work of fiction. However, one can relate it to the rise of certain revolutionary outfits in our State and the bordering areas,” says Jayaram, an under secretary with the Department of General Administration.

Accepting that the film may have loopholes in its making and execution, Jayaram is nevertheless pleased that he could get an opportunity, albeit small, to a number of fresh faces through the film, that too many former and current employees of the Secretariat. Most of them have acted without any remuneration because of their passion for acting, adds Jayaram. There are professional artistes in the cast as well.

Produced by Sunil Nallath, The Wrong Hour has been in shot in scenic spots in Vellanad, Puliyarakonam and Melekkadavu in Thiruvananthapuram district. Pointing out that he has a long way to go as a filmmaker, Jayaram avers that the work has put him in touch with a group of film enthusiasts. “We might come up with a new project,” he says.
