This led to many people commenting that she should be given a chance in Bollywood.
And now, it is actor-composer Himesh Reshammiya who has obliged them! He has made her sing for the film Happy Hardy and Heer , which also has him playing the lead. Mondal has also had a makeover as a participant in the reality show Superstar Singer.

Talking of Rajahamsame. .., a Johnson composition that remains one of Chithra’s finest songs till date, also had an alternate version that created a sensation. Dubai-based Pakistani singer Nazia Amin Mohammed’s fine rendition of the song was appreciated by Chithra herself.
