Samantha Akkineni starts ‘One Bucket’ challenge

Tamil and Telugu actor urges fans to use just one bucket of water for all purposes on July 21

Actor Samantha Akkineni has initiated a new challenge on Twitter to bat for the ongoing water crisis in the country.

Terming it the ‘One Bucket’ challenge, the Oh! Baby star stated on social media that this coming Sunday (July 21), she would post pictures of her water usage using only a bucket, and that there would be no long showers, washing vehicles or leaving the tap on while washing her face.

Using the hashtag #everydropcounts, she also shared a picture titled ‘Hyderabad is running dry’ that prompted the Government to enact a strict borewell policy.

Samantha Akkineni urged her followers to take up the challenge along with her and insisted on a ‘no cheating’ policy.
