Adapted from a novel by Robert Bloch, this thriller by Alfred Hitchcock deals with Marion Crane, whose desires gets crushed in the hands of Norman Bates, a psychopath, around whom the second half of the film revolves. Finally we get an image of Norman whose obsession with his dead mother makes him mad.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
Setting the film in 18th century France, director Tom Tykwer narrates the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an olfactory genius whose homicidal quest for the perfect scent motivates him to murder. Grenouille is saved by the power of his perfume, which enchants others and also saves him from execution.
Naan Kadavul
The much-lauded film in Tamil was co-written and directed by Bala. The film unfolds the story of Rudran, a child abandoned by his parents in Varanasi, who, later, becomes a redeemer.
