Next on the list of Tamil actors making the transition to digital streaming platform is actor Meena, who is set to make her video-on-demand debut with the Zee5 series, Karoline Kamakshi.
The series, directed by Vivek Kumar Kannan, features Meena in the role of a CBI agent, and is touted to be an action-dramedy. Italian model Giorgia Andriani is also part of the main cast, and plays a French undercover agent.
Says Chidambaram Natesan, CEO, Trend Loud Digital India Private Ltd, who are co-producing the series with Zee5, “What makes us swell with pride is the opportunity to launch Meena for the first time in the web space.” Vivek is also the director for Arun Vijay’s upcoming film, Boxer . Meena, whose last Tamil film was Thambikottai (2011), has a Malayalam film under production titled Shylock , where she co-stars with Mammootty.
