Even 'Doctor Strange' director Scott Derrickson couldn’t resist himself from tweeting about it

It all started when a Twitter user named Carlos (@ChuckEChave) shared a 50-second scene from Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, where Shivudu (Prabhas) and Katappa (Sathyaraj) plot plan to storm into the kingdom of Mahishmati by launching them as missiles on air. After being blown by the sheer amount of creativity involved in the making, Carlos said, “The full scene with sound is just the greatest scene I’ve ever watched.” Most tweeps agreed to his line of thought and said that Baahubali 2 was India’s answer to the Hollywood blockbuster The Lord of The Rings series. The tweet became so popular that it has garnered over 13,000 retweets and 40,000 likes in two days.

Among the many users who shared that thread was Doctor Strange filmmaker Scott Derrickson, who wrote, “Behold, India’s Baahubali 2!”

Replying to Scott’s tweet, Baahubali’s official Twitter account said, “Let Doctor Strange know that Baahubali says hello.”

Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is a sequel to the epic fantasy drama Baahubali: The Beginning, which released in 2015. The film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nasser became a monstrous hit at the box office and earned over ₹1,800 crore.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli is currently working on his forthcoming RRR starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in lead roles. The film is expected to release in 2020.
