‘I don’t pay attention to censorship’

Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi said here on Sunday that he makes films from the heart and does not give much attention to censorship.

Speaking to media persons and filmmakers on the sidelines of the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival, Mr. Majidi said, “Censorship is kind of rules and regulations. I don’t give too much attention to censorship”.

Mr. Majidi’s film Mohammad Rasoolollah (Mohammad: The Messenger of God) was screened at the festival.

He said that he was happy with the response of the audience who watched the film.
