Dayanandhan PM, who had assisted director Seenu Ramasamy, is now ready with his debut directorial, Kundrathile Kumaranukku Kondattam (KKK) starring Prajin and newcomer Riya Mikka.
“ KKK is based on a true story I had written six years ago. It is about an aimless youth who gets into a problem, and gets entangled in other issues when he tries to get out of it.”
It was Seenu Ramasamy who suggested that Prajin could be cast in KKK . “I was looking for an actor with prior experience, and Seenu Sir came up with this suggestion. Prajin suited the script perfectly.” Shakeela and Imman Annachi play pivotal roles. “After this film, the image that the audience has of Shakeela will change,” says Dayanandhan.
Imman Annachi, who was initially approached to pen lyrics for a song in the film that has music by Shankar Ram, was impressed by the script and volunteered to act without any remuneration.
Director K Bhagyaraj and Gaana Bala have made guest appearances in the film, which has been predominantly shot in the backdrop of the Kundrathur Murugan Temple near Chennai.
