As you read this, the team of the film TriVikrama must be off to some exotic location in Rajasthan for the second leg of shoot. We were invited to the film’s shoot happening in Bengaluru. The film, titled TriVikrama is being shot in a house in Nagarbavi and has garnered attention as the film features actor Vikram, who is the son of V Ravichandran.

The residential area, where the film is being shot is calm and quiet, except for the hum of generators and the air conditioning in the make up vans. While the weather is gloomy and there is a slight drizzle, and the roads are deserted, the only buzz created is by the film crew. They are bustling around, some carrying water, tea and snacks, while others lug lights and camera around.

Vikram is busy in the middle of a shot, which seems like an intense scene between him and his mother. While the actors are on the terrace acting out the scene, the camera and the film crew is on the neighbouring terrace shooting the scene.

Finally, they break for lunch and Vikram says, “I cannot reveal much about the film as the team does not want to us to say anything about the film. All I can say right now is that it will be a family entertainer and I have a strong chance to prove my mettle as an actor. Of course, I am nervous and excited as this is my first film. I have also learnt and seen that legacy or your family background does not help you if you can not deliver.”

TriVikrama is produced by Bhairava Suresh and Somanna and is directed by Sahana Murthy whose last film was Mass leader, featuring Shivrajkumar.

The post lunch session takes off and now on the set are Suchendra Prasad, who plays Vikram’s father. The others in the cast include Tulasi Shivamani who plays Vikram’s mother and Chikkanna.

This time the shot is set up inside the house. Vikram is supposed to rush into the house when his sister-in-law, slaps her daughter. After a confrontation, Tulasi and Suchendra Prasad enter the room to pacify the duo, but the scene ends with Vikram storming out of the room and a crying child.

As the shoot is in progress, there is a surprise visitor. Ravichandran walks in with his wife and with him come a mob chanting his name loudly. The actor wants to watch his son at work, but the crowd gets uncontrollable. So the actor, suggests that everyone calm down and brings out over 20 cakes that he has brought to celebrate Vikram’s birthday.

The crew is bowled over by. The shooting comes to a halt. Cakes are cut, the birthday song is sung and Ravichandran leaves and so does the crowd and the shoot resumes.

The director, Sahana smiles and says, “Having Ravi sir was a surprise. The burden of making this film well is now on me. Ravi sir could have directed it. Now that I have been asked to do the honours, I am tense and don’t want anything to go wrong.”

The team plans to shoot in various locations in Bengaluru, Dandeli and Singapore. Talks are also on to rope in Prabhudeva to choreograph a song.
