The actors of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (CCV) have made scant appearances on posters of the film. And, until now, both the director and the cast have remained tight-lipped on details about the movie.

But now, in an exclusive interview with The Hindu , lyricist Vairamuthu gave some details about CCV : “Set against a family backdrop, Chekka Chivandha Vaanam deals with modern-day life struggles and issues in relationships. It revolves around instances in which moral values break down because of a person’s besotted pursuit of success.”

The album will have seven songs. The audio launch is slated for September 5 in Chennai. Some of the songs in the film are 'Mazhai Kuruvi', 'Bhoomi Bhoomi Suthum Satham’, ‘Sevandhu Pochu Nenju’, 'Kalla Kalavani', according to Mr. Vairamuthu. While five of the songs were written for the film, the other two were picked by Mani Ratnam from Mr. Vairamuthu's book 'Peiyana Peiyyum Mazhai'
