Actor Anshuman Jha is set to make his debut as director with a black comedy feature written by Bikas Ranjan Mishra of Chauranga fame. Set in the United Kingdom, the film titled Lord Curzon Ki Haveli follows the story of two couples and a pizza delivery boy, and will be filmed inside a house.

Jha confirms that the filming is expected to begin in the UK in January, and revealed that Arjun Mathur — who has been turning heads with his character Karan Mehra on Zoya Akhtar’s Made in Heaven web series for Amazon Prime — and National-award winning actor Tannishtha Chatterjee will be playing one of the two couples in the film.

Says Anshuman, “This is a five character film, and each part is integral to the story. I am grateful to Tannishtha and Arjun, whose work I admire, and I’m excited to collaborate with them on a script which excites us all.” Jha will be seen next in a leading role in the independent feature directed by Harish Vyas, Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, also starring Zareen Khan, which is scheduled for a Valentine’s Day 2020 release. Jha is also set to be a part of Pankaj Dubey’s adaptation of the book What a Loser .
