Bollywood actor Abhay Deol has been cast as the antagonist opposite Sivakarthikeyan in the upcoming film Hero. The star was last seen in the Netflix film Chopsticks along with Mithila Palkar. KJR Studios that is bankrolling Hero , posted the news on social media.
Touted to be an action-thriller, the film is directed by P. S. Mithran who found fame with his first film Irumbu Thirai. The film also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in her debut Tamil film, who is the daughter of filmmaker Priyadarshan and Malayalam actor Lissy. Kalyani has already tasted success with the Telugu film Chitralahari. Also part of the cast are Arjun Sara and Ivana of Naachiyaar fame.
Hero has George C. Williams as the cinematographer and Yuvan Shankar Raja as the composer. This is Sivakarthikeyan’s second collaboration with Yuvan after Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. The actor’s last film was box-office flop Mr. Local.
