Sshivada is ecstatic and can’t hide her happiness. Her performance in Adhe Kangal has been widely appreciated by the industry and the audiences. Looks like adding the extra S to her name has brought in success.

A computer science engineer, Sshivada says, “There are no words to express my feelings right now; the words of encouragement from the likes of Arya and Sivakarthikeyan are spurring me on to make further inroads in negative roles. Initially, I had my apprehensions, but took the advice of a few well-wishers. The decision has paid off.”

Director Rohin Venkatesan had absolute confidence in her and brought out the best in her in his film. “It was an out-of-the-ordinary role. Rohin told me that I need to come to the sets with a blank mind and improvise at the time of shooting. The director provided all the detailing regarding my character and I also did some homework and that helped a lot. The kicking act in the climax was the ultimate test, where I had to take on two persons. In the climax, even though there was a body double, I took up the challenge and took on two persons with ease. Thanks to my Green Belt in Karate, which I got during my school days, it gave me the confidence,” says Sshivada.

Though she is a known face in Malayalam since her debut in Fazil’s Living Together , Sshivada is spoilt for choice in Tamil. “Not that the floodgates have opened, but there are calls from proven names. My only condition is that the next one is totally different from the characters I have played. ”
