Soha Ali Khan says 31st October will break the stereotypical image of a comedian that her co-star Vir Das is trapped in.

“It was great working with him. Everyone knows him as a comedian, but this film breaks that stereotype,” she says.

31st October , scheduled to hit the screens on October 7, is based on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi’s assassination. Soha and Vir play a Sikh couple in the movie.

Talking about Vir’s character, Soha said, “Even though his character is genial, what happens to him is quite serious. It will be interesting for the audience to see how such a fun-loving guy is forced to deal with such serious situations.”
