Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has confirmed that the first draft of the script for the movie’ssequel has been completed.
Gunn shared a picture of the script on Twitter, but made sure to give absolutely nothing away.
“Phew. 1st draft,” he wrote, before adding a series of hashtags that emphasised his determination to keep a few secrets: “#GotG2 #NoSpoilers #NotEventheTitle.”
The director later shared the photo on his Facebook page, adding: “After 48 days straight, the first draft of #GotG2 is done. I’m sorry to all my friends and family who I have ignored.”
Gunn continues to provide fans with updates on the Marvel sequel, and recently revealed in a Periscope talk that Karen Gillan’s character, Nebula, will be returning.
The filmmaker also teased his audience with peeks of what the future holds for some of Guardians of the Galaxy characters during a Facebook Q&A session earlier this year.
The shoot will commence in February 2016, moving away from London to Pinewood Atlanta Studios. The sequel is slated for release on May 5, 2017.
