As it reached the 50-day run in at least 600 screens across the country on Friday, S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali is said to have grossed a whopping Rs. 600 crore, according to analysts.
Baahubali is thus the second largest grosser in over a 100 years of Indian cinema, next only to Rajkumar Hirani’s PK starring Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan that grossed close to Rs. 700 crore.
With a star cast that includes Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamanna, Ramya Krishnan, Satyaraj and Nasser, Baahubali , released on July 10, is still holding strong, according to Vamsi Kaka, a critic and trade analyst.
“The coming weekend too will work in its favour,” he averred.
