The grand finale of Bigg Boss show in Tamil should have been about the four finalists – actors Ganesh Venkataraman, Harish, Aarav and lyricist Snehan – but unsurprisingly actor and host Kamal Haasan and Oviya were the stars of the show.

At the grand finale shot for a full day, actor Aarav was declared winner at the grand finale of Bigg Boss here at EVP film city on Saturday here.

Aarav could be the official winner of Bigg Boss Tamil’s season one, but there was yet another actor who stole the show, well, almost, from Kamal Haasan himself: it was Oviya, who received the loudest cheers from a boisterous crowd.

In fact, when the two finalists – Snehan and Aarav – were waiting with bated breath on the stage, the crowd began chanting Oviya’s name.

Kamal Haasan stopped short of elaborating his political ideas on Bigg Boss Tamil's grand finale. He said he was unable to speak freely about various issues in a show such as Bigg Boss, which, he said, was an entertainment show. He said, “I cannot directly state what I have to say because of certain rules and regulations, but I will definitely come. I will come, not because I am hungry for power but because of the love of my people."

He said that he had consciously used words carefully while talking about political issues on the Bigg Boss stage. “You might have noticed that I have spoken about politics in a subtle way on this stage, through which I have reached 6.5 crore people in Tamil Nadu. This is just the first step,” he said. Kamal Haasan said, “If people say I am only fit to be an actor, I will do that. If people say we have given you a responsibility to do now, go and do it properly, I will quit cinema. If they say help someone else, I will do that too.”
