SET TO WOO AUDIENCE Siddharth Shukla

SET TO WOO AUDIENCE Siddharth Shukla

The wait to watch television’s most sought after actor Siddhartha Shukla as a romantic hero once again on the small screen is finally over. The new daily soap, “Dil Se Dil Tak”, with him in the lead is slated to go on the air from January 30. Rashmi Desai and Jasmine Bhasin are essaying the female protagonists.

Siddhartha, who captivated audience as Collector Sahab in “Balika Vadhu” will now woo the viewers as as Parth Bhanushali in this new show on Colors channel. The romantic story’s promo showing the chemistry between Rashmi and Siddhartha has already sparked the curiosity of the audience.

Excerpts from an interaction:

Tell us about new show and how different it is from others?

It is a love story and a romantic tale which involves a lot of family values. It also has some twists in it so it is going to be very endearing and entertaining.

I think the story line is very different. People have watched the promo and we have received a positive feedback from them. I think “Dil Se Dil Tak”, is a show where audience would get to see what they want to.

What kept you away from TV shows and what made you accept this serial?

I had done a daily soap for three years which is a long time. I believe in keeping some personal space also. I mean when you are doing a daily soap you don’t get time to do anything else, you are perpetually on sets. But I have tried different things on television like hosting and participating in reality shows like “Khatron Ka Khiladi”, which I won. So I was taking a short break from daily soaps.

This show is very promising, It’s a kind of show that audience can look upto. It is an interesting concept. It comes from a nice production house and Colors is close to my heart. So, all things fell in place and brought me back.

How different is your role in this show from that of Shiv in “Ballika Vadhu”?

Both are are completely different characters. Shiv was a very calm, composed and mature but Parth is more lively and expressive. The character of Parth is very relatable and real. When I say real I mean that Parth makes more practical decisions than making a decision based on high moral ground.

Tell us about your experience of working with Rashmi Desai in the show

It has been absolutely wonderful. Rahsmi is a good actress and it was a pleasure working with her.

Having acted in “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya”, can we expect more movies?

If something substantial comes my way, I would love to do it. I am not desperate about doing each and everything that comes my way, because I think that audience expects a lot from me and I want to live up to their expectations.
