TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao claimed that the Federal Front of the regional parties would rule the country after elections.

“I have definite information from Delhi that the BJP and Congress cannot secure majority after the elections. I appeal to you to elect all the 16 TRS candidates and I would change the political scenario in the country and strive for overall development with my knowledge and experience,” he maintained.

Addressing a well-attended election meeting at the Government Degree College grounds in the Godavarikhani coal belt on Monday evening, he said that the meetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AICC president Rahul Gandhi in the State on Monday were flop shows as there was no public to listen to them. “Both Modi and Rahul abuse each other as ‘chowkidar’ and ‘chor’ and confuse the people,” he added.

The Chief Minister said that the TRS government brought changes in all sectors and Telangana emerged as the only State in the country to provide 24-hour power to the farm sector and become a role model through schemes like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, double bed-room housing, KCR kits, social welfare residential schools.

Flaying Mr. Modi for not doing anything for dalits and tribals, he said that the State had passed a resolution seeking exemption of Income Tax to the coal miners of Singareni, but the Union government had not done anything so far. He reiterated that the government was committed for the revival of dependent employment scheme for the coal miners.

Praja darbars

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao promised to set up a government medical college in Godavarikhani and make Chennur a revenue division. He also promised to visit all the districts and spend at least two days and conduct praja darbars to solve the peoples’ problems.

Advising the people not to give bribes to the revenue employees, he said that he would get a new revenue law to check corruption. “I am not against the revenue employees and I will not harm anyone, but the people and farmers should be benefited with the new Act,” he stated. Minister for Social Welfare Koppula Eshwar, party secretary-general K Kesava Rao, MP Pongoleti Srinivas Reddy, Chennur legislator Balka Suman, Peddapalli TRS contestant B Venkatesh Nethakani and other legislators were also present.
