Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa on Monday filed her nomination papers for the Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar constituency for the May 16 Assembly election.

Ms Jayalalithaa's convoy reached the Tondiarpet Zonal office around 12.20 pm, where she handed over the papers to the Returning Officer T.N. Padmaja Devi.

Within few minutes she came out of the office. On her way back her convoy stopped several times to meet senior ministers and party cadres.

All along her route, party cadres waved flags and held the Two Leaves symbol.

They had also organised dance performances, coupled with 'Chendamelam' and 'Nagaswaram'.
