DMK, Congress have no Lok Sabha MPs from TN

After a gap of nearly two decades, the DMK and the Congress will not have any representatives from Tamil Nadu in the Lower House. The DMK has been part of all the regimes at the Centre from 1996 barring the 1998-99 NDA one. The DMK suffered its worst defeats in 1989 and 1991 Lok Sabha elections when it could not manage to win even a single seat. For Congress, 2014 is a repeat of 1996 and 1998 Parliamentary elections.
