Leading in Jhalrapatan

Vasundhara Raje is the current Chief Minister of Rajasthan. She is contesting from Jhalraptan constituency in the Jhalawar district. She previously held the post of Chief Minister from 2003 to 2008, when she became the first woman Chief Minister of the State. She is the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate for this year’s elections too.

Leading in Tonk

Sachin Pilot is the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee. He is contesting from Tonk, a Muslim-dominated constituency. He is contesting the State elections for the first time, though he has been an MP and a Union Minister under the Manmohan Singh government.

Leading in Sardarpura

Ashok Gehlot is one of the senior members of the Congress party in Rajasthan. He has been the Chief Minister of the State twice: from 1998 to 2003, and again from 2008 to 2013. If the Congress wins, Mr. Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are likely to be chief ministerial candidates. He is contesting from Sardarpura constituency.

Trailing in Tonk

Yunus Khan is Rajasthan’s Minister for Transport. He is contesting opposite Sachin Pilot from Tonk constituency. He is the BJP’s only Muslim candidate in the State. Mr. Khan is a sitting MLA from Deedwana constituency of Nagaur district whose name was kept reserved by the party till the last moment.

Leading in Sadulpur

Krishna Poonia was the 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medallist in the discus throw event. She joined the Congress in 2013. She is contesting from Sadulpur constituency.
