Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Saturday addressed party workers and residents of the Bhanushali Wadi in Ghatkopar, appealing to them to ensure that the Bharatiya Janata Party was voted to power once again this time. Mr. Rupani was in the city to campaign for the party’s Mumbai North East candidate Manoj Kotak.

“When Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he said that I am not a Pradhan Mantri but a Pradhan Sevak. Voting for BJP will ensure that the nation is in safe and secure hands when Mr. Modi comes back to power,” he said.

He also went on to say that after the Balakot air strike, which reportedly destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammad training camps, Mr. Modi’s popularity has increased, which has left Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi disappointed and insecure.

“Rahul Gandhi is not sure about his victory from Amethi, which is why he has filed his nomination from Wayanad in Kerala this time,” Mr. Rupani said while speaking to the press after the rally.

Others who attended the rally included Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and actor Isha Koppikar. The rally began from the Railway Police Hockey Ground and passed through Shanti Sudha Path, Garodianagar, Bhaveshwar Lane, and Tilak Road before ending at Bhanushali Wadi.
