A flying squad from the Election Department on Wednesday made enquiries near the residence of All India N.R. Congress founder and former Chief Minister N. Rangasamy at Thattanchavady.

There was an inspection in the office of former AIADMK legislator Om Sakthi Segar at Nellithope.

A top official told The Hindu that it was a routine inspection based on a complaint received on the toll-free number 1950.

The complaint proved to be false, said the official.
