The BJP was the dominant party late on Thursday, winning 22 seats and leading in two. There are totally 25 constitiuencies.

Rajasthan, which has 25 Lok Sabha seats, went to the poll in two phases: 13 seats on April 29 and 12 seats on May 6.

The State, which has 4.88 crore voters, saw a turnout of 66.07%, an increase over the  record 63.02 voter turnout during the 2014 Parliamentary elections.

Rajasthan saw assembly polls just last year, with the Congress and its allies coming to power. the Congress won 100 of the 200 Assembly seats, with the BJP winning 73.  However, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had swept all 25 seats with the Congress failing to get even one, for the first time since 1989.

Here are the updates:

Key battles

The fight remains entirely in favor of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore in Jaipur rural constituency who has clinched almost double the votes garnered by INC’s Krishna Poonia.

In Ajmer and Pali too, the BJP has managed to get twice the number of votes gained by the Congress. Its vote share in the two constituencies is over 60%. Even in the tribal reserved seat Banswara-Dungarpur, where the pollsters had predicted a smooth ride for the Congress, the voters have favored the BJP with over 45% of vote share. Kantilal Roat of the Bharatiya Tribal Party has emerged as a strong contender here.

Just months after the BJP was ousted by the INC by a close victory in the 2018 Assembly elections, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot seems to be giving a tough challenge to BJP’s Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who is leading by almost 1,13,000 votes. Congress candidate  Manvendra Singh, who had given a tough challenge to former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the 2018 Assembly elections, is also struggling to steer ahead of BJP's Kailash Chaudhary in Barmer.

Trends as of 10 a.m.

The BJP is leading in 24 out of 25 constituencies in Rajasthan, while Hanuman Beniwal’s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party is ahead in Nagaur as per the trends. With a vote share of over 59%, the BJP has established a clear lead in the State. While the exit polls predicted a victory in 23-25 seats, the BJP had won in all the 25 constituencies in the 2014 Parliamentary elections.
