Deputy Commissioner Hepsiba Rani Korlapati said on Monday that all political parties should follow the Model Code of Conduct in letter and spirit. She was chairing a meeting of representatives of all political parties at the District Offices Complex, here. Ms. Korlapati said that it was incumbent upon the political parties to see that no rules were violated during the election campaign. They should desist from any activities which might influence voters. Besides public campaigning, the Election Commission is keeping a watch on publicity through media. Political parties had to observe caution on these aspects. They should not misuse the media to serve their interests, she said.
