Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday hit out at the Modi dispensation, saying it is not a ‘ mazboot ’ (strong) government but a ‘ magroor ’ (arrogant) one that harbours an ‘oppressive’ mindset. She alleged that people fighting for their rights were put behind bars on charges of being anti-national and were subjected to atrocities. Addressing an election rally in Deoria in support of the Congress’s Salempur candidate, Rajesh Mishra, Ms. Vadra said no development works were carried out in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency.
