FIR filed against accused who slapped Arvind Kejriwal

Police registered a FIR under IPC section 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) against Suresh, who had attacked the CM during his road show on Saturday

A day after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was slapped during a road show in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar, the Delhi police registered an FIR against the accused on Sunday.

Police said that taking cognizance in the matter, they have registered a FIR under IPC section 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) against Suresh, who had attacked the CM, at Moti Nagar police station.

 

“On Sunday afternoon, we have received a complaint from an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker against Suresh and we have added IPC section 153 (Promoting enmity between different groups),” said a police officer.

The officer added that they are taking legal help in the matter to add more IPC sections into the case.
