Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal (centre) flanked by party colleagues Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai, releasing the party's manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, in New Delhi on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said the party would support any other government that respected the country’s unity and secularism, other than the BJP at the Centre after the general election.

“Any government, apart from a Modi government in the Centre, which respects the Constitution, unity, and secularism, if it's an alliance or any other, the AAP will support it,” Mr. Kejriwal said after releasing the party's manifesto. The party would offer support and ask that government to fulfil the demand of full statehood for Delhi, he stated.

The manifesto focuses on full statehood for Delhi.

The event was attended by senior party leaders and all seven candidates.

“By any means, the Modi and Amit Shah pair must be stopped from forming a government at the Centre - this is our biggest agenda today. If Modi and Amit Shah come to power, only one man will be responsible -- Rahul Gandhi,” Mr. Kejriwal said. He alleged that the Congress was weakening the Opposition and thus helping the BJP.

“Pakistan wants Hindus and Muslims to fight, Hindus and Christians to fight... Today the BJP is working to fulfil Pakistan's agenda," he said.

“If we get all seven MPs from Delhi, then we will do whatever is needed to get full statehood. If we get full statehood, in one week all ‘kacha’ workers will be made ‘pakka’. If we get full statehood, guest teachers will be made ‘pakka’. Women will be safe only if Delhi gets full statehood. Now, Delhi is called the rape capital and police are not answerable to citizens. If Delhi gets full statehood, 85 per cent of seats in colleges would be reserved for students who passed Class 12 from Delhi,” he said.
